Welcome to the 102nd Caroline Bay Carnival.
On behalf of my executive committee I welcome you to this year's Carnival. We have planned a 14 day carnival, commencing on Wednesday 26th December and running through to Sunday 6th January followed by the Talent Quest on the following weekend the 12 & 13 January.
The Caroline Bay Carnival is a family orientated event. It includes competitions, mini golf, rides and games with concerts in both the afternoon and evening. There is a fireworks display on New Year's Eve, it will be a spectacular display, just as it has been in past years. On this night there will also be an extra concert which will feature The Beat Girls, this 2 hour concert will commence at 8.45pm.
As of this year, the Caroline Bay Association also has its own Events Manager, so with this change in place the daily concerts will showcase some new faces as well as some more familiar ones. Check out the programme to see when Shane Cortese, Frankie Stevens and Annah Mac among many other artists who will also be as popular. The morning programmes are for children along with beauty contests, for more details check out the programme guide.
There will also be plenty of food on offer at various food vendors on the bay. Something for the Senior Citizens is a afternoon tea and entertainment in the Bay Hall.
As you enjoy this year's carnival, keep in mind it is only made possible by the hard work and dedication of over 130 volunteers. The Bay Association is also indebted to the many sponsors for their financial and physical support. We also appreciate the assistance of Her Worship the Mayor Janie Annear and the District Council.
Finally, I hope you and your families enjoy the festive season that is now upon us, and we look forward to seeing you all enjoying yourselves down at the Bay this holiday season.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
