As President of the Caroline Bay Association it gives me pleasure to once again welcome you all to this our 98th Annual Carnival.

 

Since 1911 our Association has provided inexpensive entertainment to the public over the Christmas & New Year holiday period with profits being returned to enhance the bay and environs.

This has been achieved with the magnificent support from the public, sponsors and the large contingent of voluntary helpers.

This year our carnival has a duration of 17 days and my committee has worked hard to maintain a top line of entertainment for your enjoyment.

Again New Years Eve will be a highlight with entertainment  throughout the evening and a major fireworks display to herald in the New Year. 

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Timaru District Council for the near completion of the redevelopment of Caroline Bay. This enhancement has truly been a magnificent project for us all to be proud of.

 

In conclusion,  I would like to wish each and every one a Very Merry Christmas, a prosperous New Year and a very happy and enjoyable time at the Carnival.
